The troublemaker Tigress (T-83) was finally caged after the sharpshooter used a dart gun to make the Tigress unconscious on Saturday early morning. The tigress had killed five people, mostly shepherds in the Janala, Kantapeth, Chiroli, Kawadpeth, Chichala, and Tadala regions under the Chichpalli sub-region of Chandrapur Forest Division.
The villagers in the region had lodged several complaints with the Forest Department. Given the growing Man-Animal conflict Deputy Director of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Project Anand Reddi, RFO Prashant Khade, Assistant RFO V S Tarse, and other workers caged the tigress on Saturday.
