Preparations are in full swing at the Shree Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple in Koradi for the upcoming Shardiya Navratri Utsav. The temple will remain open for 22 hours daily during the nine-day festival, ensuring thousands of devotees can pay their respects with ease, according to Dattu Samritkar, Secretary of the Temple Committee.
Authorities, including the Temple Management, local government, and police, have completed arrangements to accommodate visitors. Special provisions include separate entry for Divyang, senior citizens, and pregnant women, along with wheelchair access.
A Rs 100 donation pass will be available for special guests to bypass the crowds, and devotees can pay obeisance starting at 4 a.m. Special darshan of the Swayambhu idol, in its original form, will be available from 4 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Security will be tight, with over 500 police personnel, including CRPF units, and 300 CCTV cameras monitoring the temple premises. Additionally, 24-hour medical facilities will be available, and MSEDCL will ensure uninterrupted power supply with 11 transformers in place. City bus services will also operate for the convenience of devotees.
The temple will be adorned with 5,000 akhand jyot, and eco-friendly materials will be used for ghat sthapana this year.
