NTPC Mouda solemnly commemorated the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the birth anniversary of India’s second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri.
As part of the “Swachhata Hi Sewa” campaign, housekeeping staff was honored for their role in maintaining cleanliness within the township. NTPC Mouda declared eight zones of the township litter-free during the campaign, which were executed from September 14 to October 2, 2024.
The ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Shri D.R. Dehuri, Head of Project, NTPC Mouda, Shri Subhashish Guha, GM (O&M), Shri Prem Chand, GM (COE), Shri Pradeep Balwant Paranjape, GM (Project), Shri Chandramauli Jangbahadur, GM (COE), and Shri Harekrushna Jena, GM (Maintenance). The ceremony was also graced by Heads of Departments and Representatives of the Union and Associations.
Shri D.R. Dehuri led the tributes by offering floral respect to Mahatma Gandhi, recalling his profound contributions to India’s independence and social reforms. Senior officials, department heads, and union representatives also paid homage.
During the event, everyone took an oath to imbibe Gandhi’s principles in their professional duties, emphasizing NTPC’s commitment to Gandhiji’s values of Customer Focus and Integrity, which are central to NTPC’s core values.
Following the homage ceremony, a documentary on Mahatma Gandhi was also screened to inspire everyone with his guiding principles.
