The Nagpur Police Crime Branch arrested two MD smugglers and seized 55 grams of powder from them. The arrested accused have claimed that this powder belongs to two accused from Rajasthan. As the Rajasthan link of MD smuggling has come to light, the police are now investigating in that direction.
Around 11 o’clock on Thursday night, a team of crime branch was on patrol in Shantinagar police station limits. Two persons were suspiciously found near a motorcycle on the road in Kavarapeth Karunanagar. When the police detained and searched them, they found 55 grams of MD powder in their possession. Police arrested Abdul Latif Abdul Razzak (48, Mudaliyar Lay Out, Shantinagar) and Shahrukh Habib Khan (32, Shantinagar).
During interrogation They claimed that the powder belonged to Dashrath Singh (30) and Kailas Bagdulal Verma (30) of Rajasthan. The police seized the goods worth 6.20 lakhs from the accused. A case has been registered against the other two accused and the search is on for them. The arrested accused were handed over to Shantinagar Police Station
