A 32-year-old watchman, who fled with a 17-year-old girl from Beltarodi, has been located by the Crime Branch’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit after two years. The pair had traveled to Chandrapur and Hyderabad before eventually returning to Nagpur.
The minor, referred to as Gauri (name changed), went missing in October 2022. Her father filed a complaint with Beltarodi police, leading to a case being registered. Following an extensive investigation, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit traced them to a construction site in Sitabuldi. The girl was sent to a children’s home, while the accused was handed over to the Beltarodi police.
The breakthrough came after local construction workers provided crucial information on the accused’s location.
