Nagpur: The Nagpur City Police, led by Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singal, hosted a cyclothon to spread awareness about drug prevention, road safety, cybercrime, women’s safety, and pollution reduction here, on Sunday. The event began at 6:00 AM from Police Gymkhana, covering key city routes, including Walker Road, Futala Y-Point, and Raj Bhavan, before concluding at the starting point.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from police personnel, athletes, and citizens. Commissioner Singal highlighted the importance of cycling to reduce pollution and stay healthy while urging the public to follow traffic rules and stay alert about rising cybercrimes. He also emphasized women’s safety and the need for collective responsibility in making the city safer.
The cyclothon is part of the police’s broader efforts to engage with the community and promote healthier and safer practices. The commissioner extended his gratitude to all participants for their support and urged continued collaboration in such initiatives to improve public well-being.
