“Udyojika – An All Eves Exhibition” concluding day prize distribution function

Vidarbha Industries Association Lady Entrepreneurs’ Wing & Barrister Sheshrao Wankhede Trust [In memory of Late Smt Kusumtai Wankhede] organised the “Udyojika – An All Eves Exhibition recently from 3^rd Oct to 7^th October 2024 at Kusumtai Wankhede Hall, Nagpur.

Udyojika was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest, Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Commissioner of Police, Nagpur City and Guest of Honour, Smt Sunanda Bajaj, Asstt Commissioner of District Skill Development, Employment & Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre, Nagpur.

This year notable guests also grace the exhibition, including  Snehal Dhokey, ITS, Assistant Director General of Foreign Trade, Nagpur on 4th Oct,  Pragati Patil, President BJP Women Wing, Nagpur on 5th Oct, and  Yogita Dangre, CEO – Gram Panchayat Nildoh, Nagpur on 6th Oct.

On the concluding day prize distribution function chief guest was Shomita Biswas, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Maharashtra State appreciated the efforts taken by VIA LEW to promote the women entrepreneurs of the region.  She  remembered Savitri Bai Phule and Baba Saheb Ambedkar for women’s education and gender equality written in  the constitution. She talked about  various different  schemes for women such as Janani Suraksha Yojana and reproductive child health. She stressed more budget has been sanctioned for the weaker section of the society.

Earlier Rashmi Kulkarni, Chairperson of VIA LEW gave briefing on Udyojika and the activities of LEW. She further said we thanked Santosh Rao More, DGM and Lakshmi Murugesan, AGM – SIDBI for their support to the Tribal & Rural entrepreneurs. Udyojika is a dynamic platform that empowers women entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative products, directly connect with customers. For over 27 years, VIA LEW has led Udyojika, helping women to achieve and expand their businesses. We are committed to creating platforms that enable women to thrive.

During five days, series of competitions were organised on

4^th Oct : “Upaya : Solutions to Business Challenges,” – The first prize awarded to Satnam for her exceptional solution to Business Challenge, while Second Place – Varsha Batra and Third Place – Dimple Dubbani were recognized for their outstanding contributions.

on 5^th Oct – Competition on “Rapid Fire Business Mind, Technology and Sustainability” won by Varsha Batra and First Runner up – Sangeeta Sawalakhe and 2^nd runner-up – Satnaam Mattu.

on 6^th Oct – “Concept to Commerce” Showcase of Jewellery Designers. Most Creative Design won by Gudit Kaur for her innovative fusion of natural and high-tech elements.

Best Use of Material won by Vitali Daf and Best Presentation by Neelima Umbarkar

Program was conducted by Shachi Mallick, Jt Secretary – VIA & Past Chairperson – VIALEW conducted the program. Vote of thanks was given by Yogita Deshmukh, Secretary – VIALEW.
