A vibrant and colourful Garba Night celebration was organised at Delhi Public School, MIHAN on October 7th and 8th, as part of the ongoing Navratri festivities. This captivating two-day event, designed for students from Grade III to XII, aimed to immerse them in India’s rich cultural traditions and foster an appreciation for its diverse heritage. The Principal of DPS MIHAN Ms Nidhi Yadav inaugurated the gala event. In her short address, she appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students.
Students embraced the spirit of the occasion by donning traditional attire, which added authenticity to the event. The dance floor came alive with foot-tapping music as participants joyfully engaged in Garba and Dandiya folk dances. Special awards for categories such as Best Dance Performer and Best Costume were presented to both boys and girls, recognizing their talent and creativity.
The Music and Dance department of the school played a pivotal role in orchestrating the event, ensuring that the Garba celebration was a memorable and joyous experience for all involved. Overall, the night was a resounding success, celebrating the essence of Navratri through dance, music, and cultural appreciation.
