The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has appealed to Salman Khan and the makers of Bigg Bossnot to include animals for entertainment purposes in the show. In an official letter, PETA India addressed the inclusion of Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte’s donkey, Max, in the current season.
The show, Bigg Boss 18, features a donkey nicknamed “Gadharaj,” who has been placed in the garden area, with housemates assigned to care for him. PETA India stated on Wednesday that they have been inundated with complaints from the public, expressing distress over the donkey’s presence in the house.
The organization has requested host Salman Khan to urge the show’s producers to refrain from using animals as props for entertainment, advocating for the well-being of animals on such platforms.
