To provide a much-needed break from their demanding duties, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singhal organized a special Garba night for police officers and their families in celebration of Navratri. The event took place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Nagpur Police Headquarters.
Dr. Singhal inaugurated the evening by lighting a traditional lamp and extended Navratri greetings to the assembled officers, personnel, and their families. He encouraged them to enjoy the evening and embrace the festive spirit of Garba as a way to relax and unwind.
Among the attendees were Additional Police Commissioner Nisar Tamboli and Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjay Patil, who both shared their good wishes with the participants. Patil also encouraged everyone to join in the Garba dance and celebrate together.
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd, with senior female police officers, personnel, and their families attending in large numbers. Many women and children were dressed in colorful traditional Garba attire, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Thousands of participants danced and celebrated throughout the night, expressing their appreciation for the initiative, which gave them an opportunity to bond and celebrate outside of their daily responsibilities.
