In order to provide employment opportunities to the needy and aspiring women, and enable women to travel safely, the state government has launched Pink e-rickshaw scheme. The District Women and Child Development Department has invited applications from interested women, and women in the age group of 20 to 40 will be able to take advantage of the Pink E-Rickshaw.
The applications of the scheme are being accepted in all ten zone wise offices of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. However, the Municipal Corporation has appealed to interested women to apply for the state government’s “Pink e-rickshaw scheme” in larger numbers and take advantage of the scheme.
This scheme will be successfully implemented in Nagpur Municipal Corporation by the District Women and Child Welfare Department. Employment generation should be promoted by providing adequate facilities to women and girls in the state, their economic and social rehabilitation should be done, promising girls and women should be self-reliant, women and girls should be able to travel safely. For this purpose, the state government has implemented this scheme.
Under the scheme, financial assistance is being provided to needy women to purchase rickshaws and other facilities for driving them.
Eligibility criteria for Pink E-Rickshaw scheme have been decided. In order to avail the scheme, women interested should be resident of Maharashtra state, have personal bank account, annual income of beneficiary family should not exceed Rs.3 lakh, widow, legally divorced, orphan certificated girl, grandmother / ex-admitted in orphanage / orphanage etc. will be given preference. is Also women below poverty line will also be given priority.
Interested women should be at least 20 to 40 years of age, should have driving license, eligible beneficiaries will be trained under the scheme and PSVA BADGE will be issued by the selected agency. After final approval, 70 percent of the loan amount for the purchase of the vehicle will be completed with the necessary documents in the bank. After obtaining the permit and driver’s license, 20 percent of the amount will be given to the vehicle supply agency through the Women and Child Development Officer. Beneficiary will pay 10 percent of the financial burden himself, 70 percent of the loan will be repaid within 5 years, Interested women should apply at District Women and Child Welfare Office.
