The carcass of a male tiger was discovered in a paddy field belonging to Prakash Ambatkar in the Patgowari round beat, near Kanhan, in the Ramtek region. Senior officials from the forest department promptly arrived at the site after being alerted to the incident.
Adhering to the guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), the officials conducted a thorough site inspection and completed the required paperwork. The tiger’s body was then transported to the Transit Treatment Centre (TTC) for a detailed post-mortem examination.
An investigation is underway to check for any signs of foul play in the tiger’s death. The exact cause will be determined after the post-mortem results are available. The examination is scheduled for tomorrow at 10 a.m.
