Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSCDCL) has launched three digital e-Libraries aimed at improving educational access for students in the city. The new e-Libraries are located at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Digital e-Library in Laxmi Nagar, Late Kundanlal Gupta Digital e-Library in Immamwada, and Rashtramata Kasturba Digital e-Library at Gandhi Square in Sadar.
Each e-Library is equipped with 30 computers, high-speed internet, barcode scanners, printers, and multifunction xerox machines. These facilities also feature CCTV surveillance and software that provides access to 450 digital books for registered users.
Students can access the e-Libraries remotely via mobile phones or computers, allowing them to explore e-books, e-resources, and even reserve hard copies through the library’s website.
Dr. Sheel Ghule, General Manager of e-Governance for Smart City, highlighted that this initiative will create new learning opportunities for students and grant them easy access to global educational resources, significantly enhancing the academic environment in Nagpur.
