In a major boost for travelers in Vidarbha, Indian Railways has introduced a new weekly train service linking Nagpur to Gaya via Lokmanya Tilak Terminal. This new service is aimed at improving connectivity and addressing the rising demand for travel between these regions.
The newly introduced train, numbered 22357/22358, will operate weekly. It will depart from Gaya every Wednesday at 7 p.m., arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 5:50 a.m. the following day. On the return journey, train 22357 will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminal every Friday at 1:15 p.m. and reach Gaya at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday.
Previously, only two trains connected Nagpur to Gaya each week. This additional service has been launched in response to the increasing number of passengers traveling on this route. Brajbhushan Shukla, a member of the Joint Railway Users Consultative Committee (JRUCC), thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and other leaders for their efforts in expanding railway connectivity from Nagpur to other parts of the country.
