Nagpur: A farmer was killed by a tiger in Jamuniya village near Tuyapar within the Paining (Unified Control) Range of the Pench Tiger Reserve, close to Paoni, during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident occurred while the victim, Sukhram Idpachi, was working in his field, making it the 11th fatal tiger attack reported in the region since 2020.
The rise in human-tiger conflicts in this area has raised concerns among local residents.
Forest officials confirmed the attack on Wednesday morning, October 16, and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
