Dr. Vipin Itankar, District Collector and District Election Officer, has informed that voters whose names were deleted or transferred to a different Assembly constituency can correct these issues until October 19. He explained that some voters’ names were removed or shifted based on complaints from third parties, who claimed the individuals had moved to different localities falling under other assembly segments.
During previous general elections, several voters discovered their names had been deleted when they went to cast their votes. In response, the Collector has urged affected voters to fill out Form No. 6 to include their names in the voters’ list. This can be done through both online and offline modes, with the required documents attached.
He also emphasized that strict action will be taken if any eligible voter is deprived of their right to vote or if individuals seeking to contest elections are prevented from doing so through false complaints filed online or offline.
