The Maharashtra Election Commission disposed of 256 out of 420 complaints received on its C-Vigil App. The complaints were received between October 15 and 18 relating to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
The Assembly elections in Maharashtra were announced on October 15. The Election Commission disposed of 256 complaints within 100 minutes. The Election Commission handled the highest number of complaints from the Thane District.
After the Code of Conduct was enforced, various government agencies also seized cash, liquor, drugs, and other valuables. The total value of the seized goods is about Rs 1064 lakh.
