IndiGo Airlines faced a bomb threat on six of its flights after an anonymous message was sent via an account on X (formerly Twitter). The threat claimed that 12 bombers were spread across the six flights, with two individuals assigned to each plane. The affected flights were identified as 6E87, 6E11, 6E112, 6E133, 6E58, and 6E17.
The flights originated from Kozhikode, Delhi, Goa, Pune, Jeddah, and Mumbai. In response to the threat, IndiGo immediately implemented security protocols, which included moving the aircraft to isolation bays or safely disembarking passengers.
“The safety and security of our customers and crew remain paramount in all facets of our operations,” IndiGo said in an official statement. The airline reassured that standard operating procedures were followed, and they are working closely with authorities to ensure safety measures are upheld.
IndiGo confirmed that all necessary precautions were taken in accordance with aviation security guidelines, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew aboard the threatened flights.
