In a heart-wrenching incident, a 4-year-old girl, Trisha Balu Panbude, lost her life after sustaining severe burns when she accidentally fell into a pot of hot curry during a family event in Wathoda area. The tragedy occurred on October 14, 2024, at around 5:30 p.m. at Plot No. 36, Shravan Nagar, during a “Barse” (naming ceremony) hosted by the Wankhede family, where Trisha’s family was staying as tenants.
According to reports, Trisha was playing at the venue when she accidentally fell into the pot of hot curry, suffering burns over 50% of her body. She was immediately rushed to New Era Hospital for emergency treatment before being transferred to the Medical Hospital, Ward No. 4, for advanced care.
Despite the medical team’s best efforts, Trisha succumbed to her injuries on October 21, 2024, at 8:45 a.m., when doctors declared her deceased. The incident has deeply shaken the local community.
Following the medical report, the Wathoda Police have registered a case of accidental death.
