The threat posed by high-speed trucks has once again emerged within the jurisdiction of the Nagpur Mankapur police station.
A severe accident occured at Mankapur Chowk when a speeding truck (registration number MH 35 K 1210) hit four to five motorcyclists one after another, seriously injuring one of the riders.
Fortunately, the truck finally stopped after crashing into a shop wall; otherwise, the damage could have been much worse. The truck was coming from Kamthi Road, and initial reports indicate that brake failure caused the driver to lose control.
Mankapur police quickly arrived at the scene, took the injured to the hospital, and helped clear the traffic.
