10905 nomination papers of 7995 candidates have been filed till 29 October 2024 for the elections in 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, informed the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. The Model Code of Conduct for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly General Election has come into force from 15 October 2024.
The notification for election was issued on 22 October 2024. Today 29 October 2024 was the last date for filing nomination papers. These application forms will be scrutinized on 30 October 2024. Nomination papers can be withdrawn on 4 November 2024. Voting will be held on November 20, 2024 and counting of votes will take place on November 23, 2024.
