In a heartfelt gesture to bring festive cheer to its personnel, the Nagpur Police, led by Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singhal, hosted a special “Diwali Milan” celebration on October 30. The event, held at the Police Headquarters and police housing areas, allowed officers and their families to come together for Diwali festivities.
The celebrations featured games organized for children of police personnel, with prizes awarded to winners, adding a joyful spirit to the gathering. Family members participated enthusiastically, with cultural performances highlighting the evening’s entertainment.
Commissioner Singhal took part in a traditional Diwali feast with attendees and even joined families in bursting fireworks, fostering a strong sense of community. In a nod to environmental consciousness, he distributed saplings to officers, encouraging sustainable practices, and extended Diwali wishes to all present.
The event was attended by senior officials, including Joint Commissioner Nisar Tamboli, Sanjay Patil (Crime), Additional CPs Pramod Shewale (North Division) and Shivajirao Rathod (South Division), alongside Deputy and Assistant Commissioners. The gathering served not only as a celebration but also as an opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of police personnel and their families.
