The Nagpur Municipal Corporation is hosting a “Votethon” run on November 9 under the SVEEP program to encourage more people to vote in the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections on November 20. The “Vote Nagpur Vote” logo for the event was unveiled on Tuesday, November 5, by Nagpur’s Election Observer, Mr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, and District Election Officer and District Collector, Dr. Vipin Itankar, as part of an ongoing voter awareness initiative.
As per the instructions of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Choudhary, the event will take place at 6:00 AM at Yashwant Stadium, Dhantoli. The event will include a variety of activities, including Zumba, dance, running, fun walks, and a fancy dress competition, all aimed at promoting voter awareness. To participate, individuals must register by visiting the link https://khelpe.in/nmc_votethon or by scanning the provided QR code. The first 5000 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.
