The “Dragon Palace Festival” will be held on November 15 and 16 to commemorate the 25th foundation day of the Dragon Palace in Kamptee. In preparation for the milestone, the Dragon Palace is undergoing extensive renovations and decorations, overseen by Adv. Sulekha Kumbhare, President of the Ogawa Society and Chief of Dragon Palace.
The festival will include a variety of cultural, social, and religious activities to honor the Dragon Palace’s significance in the region. Established in 1999 on a 10-acre plot within the Karmvir Dadasaheb Kumbhare premises, the palace features unique architectural elements, including red stone from Rajasthan, blue Italian glass, and white granite. At its heart stands an 18-foot-high statue of Lord Buddha, surrounded by serene gardens that make the palace a cherished place of worship for the local community.
With these preparations, the festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of the Dragon Palace’s legacy and its importance to the people of Kamptee and beyond.
