The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN), will celebrate its 4th Convocation Ceremony on November 12 at 11 a.m., at the institute’s campus in Village Waranga, Butibori. Padma Shri Dr. Deepak B. Phatak, a retired professor from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, will preside as the chief guest. Ravi Sharma, Chairman of the Board of Governors at IIIT Nagpur and IIIT Una, as well as President of the IIT Alumni Council, will chair the event.
Degrees will be awarded to students of the 2020-2024 batch, marking their transition into professional careers in technology and innovation. In total, 364 degrees will be conferred, including 6 Ph.D. (3 in Computer Science and Engineering and 3 in Electronics and Communication Engineering), 283 BTech (192 CSE, 91 ECE), 50 Postgraduate Diplomas (ECE), and 25 MTech (ECE) degrees.
Two awards will also be presented: the “Award of Merit” for outstanding undergraduates in both UG disciplines, including a certificate and cash prize of Rs 21,000, and the “Institute Academic Excellence Award,” which recognizes the top student across all disciplines with a certificate and Rs 51,000.
IIIT Nagpur continues to excel in placement, with 157 companies visiting the campus, a placement rate of approximately 83.5%, and a highest annual package of Rs 47 lakh. The average package stands at over Rs 13.29 lakh, with a median of Rs 11 lakh. The highest internship stipend achieved by students is over Rs 1.50 lakh per month, showcasing the institute’s strong career prospects for its graduates.
