Nagpur: In an effort to ensure no voter is left out, home voting for elderly and differently-abled individuals commenced on November 14, across Nagpur district’s 12 assembly constituencies. The Election Commission has facilitated this option for voters aged over 85 and those with disabilities above 40%.
Guided by District Election Officer Dr. Vipin Itankar, teams reached remote areas, including villages in Ramtek near the Madhya Pradesh border, where elderly residents cast their votes. In urban areas like Kamptee, differently-abled individuals also exercised their right.
The initiative includes 3,437 voters across rural and urban constituencies, with voting to continue through November 15.
