The Mahdi Bagh Youth Club (MBYC) is set to host an All-Women Box Cricket Tournament from November 15 to 17, promising an exciting carnival atmosphere at Mahdi Bagh Colony’s lush grounds in North Nagpur. The tournament, which features six-overs-a-side matches, will be held daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., with a total prize pool of ₹1,55,000 in cash and vouchers.
According to MBYC President and international golfer Moin Malak, the event aims to be a dynamic display of talent and community spirit. “We welcome everyone to join us for three thrilling evenings of cricket, games, and delicious food. Entry is free, and this family-friendly event includes food stalls and entertainment, making it enjoyable for all ages,” he stated.
Sixteen teams, each with six players, will participate, divided into four groups. The tournament schedule includes 24 league matches over the first two days, followed by semifinals and a final on the concluding day. Former Ranji captain Faiz Fazal and athletes Adnan Musa, Farzin Malik, Nadira Ibramhi, and Shaira Mendi attended the announcement press meet, underscoring the event’s high-profile appeal.
