Ahead of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections 2024, Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singhal visited St. Ursula Girls High School in Civil Lines on November 15 to review the arrangements. During the visit, he inspected the strong room where Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are stored and assessed the security measures in place.
The Commissioner interacted with security personnel and election officials, providing necessary instructions to enhance safety protocols. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a secure environment for the storage of EVMs and proper conduct of the electoral process.
In a unique initiative, the election process for police officers and personnel, who are deployed on election duty across Nagpur, is being conducted via ballot papers at St. Ursula Girls High School. Commissioner Singhal reviewed this arrangement, ensuring it was being carried out seamlessly.
