Nagpur’s young tennis talent, Naisha Sumit Thakkar from Centre Point School International, won the bronze medal in the Under-14 category at the ISSO Tennis Tournament held at Pathways World School, Gurgaon. Thakkar, the first girl from Nagpur to compete in this category, defeated Demira Rajkumar 6-1 to secure her podium finish.
Her performance has also earned her a spot in the SGFI nationals scheduled for next year. Thakkar credits her success to the unwavering support of her school principal, Ashlesha Chitnavis, and her coach, Yuga Chetri. She trains at NDHTA Ramnagar under the guidance of coaches Vishal Landge and Navin More.
