As the Assembly election campaign intensifies across the city, residents are beginning to feel the chill of the approaching winter. On Sunday, the city’s night temperature dipped below 15°C for the first time this season, settling at 14.8°C—a further drop from 15°C recorded just two days earlier. The day saw a maximum temperature of 30.9°C.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, the declining trend in night temperatures across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh has also impacted Vidarbha. Conditions are favorable for further temperature drops in most parts of Maharashtra over the next five days.
Gondia and Gadchiroli districts recorded the lowest night temperatures in Vidarbha at 14.6°C on Sunday, while Brahmapuri and Amravati registered minimums of 14.8°C and 14.9°C, respectively. The meteorological department predicts that temperatures will continue to dip, signaling the onset of winter in the region.
With colder nights ahead, residents are advised to prepare for the seasonal change.
