Special Election Observer Ram Mohan Mishra on Saturday directed officials to prioritize security measures to ensure voters can cast their ballots freely and without fear during the upcoming polls on November 20. Mishra also emphasized the need for strict action against violations of the code of conduct and any attempts to disturb public peace.
The instructions were issued during a review meeting held at Metro Bhavan. The meeting was attended by Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Election Observers K. Vasuki and Devranjan Mishra (expenditure), Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ajay Charthankar, and other officials.
Mishra reviewed the preparedness and activities related to the elections and reiterated the importance of maintaining law and order to ensure smooth polling.
