On the final day of campaigning for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, November 18, Nagpur Traffic Police issued a total of 4,635 challans, collecting Rs 2,98,200 in fines for various traffic violations.
The crackdown included political workers caught riding two-wheelers without helmets, with violations detected through CCTV surveillance across the city.
The Maharashtra Assembly Elections will be held on November 20, with results to be declared on November 23.
The Traffic Police urged all commuters, including those involved in election-related activities, to adhere to traffic laws to ensure public safety and the smooth conduct of the elections.
