Reports of problems in EVM machines at various polling booths were reported on Wednesday morning, frustrating the voters.
Polling in Maharashtra for 288 Assembly seats began on Wednesday morning. In Akola, the EVM machine failed to function at Akola West booth number 169. In Malegaon, one booth was reported not functioning in Malegaon Rural area at booth number 292.
Voting at New English High School in Jamner, Jalgaon started about 20 minutes behind the schedule because of problems in EVM. The technical snag was removed by the staff.
A similar report poured in from Dadegaon Budruk booth number 226 of Pathan tehsil in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where polling started about one hour behind the schedule and Kolhapur North’s Vikram High School Polling Centre.
Manasgaon in Jalgaon Jamod and Khamgaon in Buldana also informed about problems in EVM. The polling started when the voting machine were reported.
