The preparations for the counting of votes for the Maharashtra Assembly elections have been finalized. District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar conducted a detailed review of the table arrangements and security measures at the counting centers to ensure a seamless process. Counting will be conducted constituency-wise, with strict directives issued to maintain high security throughout the operation.
Each constituency has been assigned specific arrangements for the counting process. For Katol, there will be 20 tables for EVM counting and 8 for postal ballots, with 17 rounds of counting and 110 personnel deployed. Saoner will have 14 EVM tables, 6 postal ballot tables, 27 rounds of counting, and 94 personnel. In Hingna, there will be 20 EVM tables, 6 postal ballot tables, 24 rounds, and 120 personnel. Umred will see 20 EVM tables, 6 postal ballot tables, 20 rounds, and 250 personnel.
In Nagpur South-West, the arrangements include 14 EVM tables, 10 postal ballot tables, 27 rounds, and 250 personnel. Nagpur South will have 14 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 25 rounds, and 170 personnel. For Nagpur East, there will be 14 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 27 rounds, and 200 personnel. Nagpur Central will feature 14 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 22 rounds, and 150 personnel.
Similarly, Nagpur West will have 14 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 26 rounds, and 280 personnel, while Nagpur North will have 14 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 30 rounds, and 150 personnel. In Kamptee, 20 EVM tables, 8 postal ballot tables, 27 rounds, and 150 personnel will be deployed. Ramtek will feature 26 EVM tables, 6 postal ballot tables, 18 rounds, and 200 personnel.
The counting process, scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 23, will be conducted under strict security measures. Depending on the constituency, counting rounds will range from 17 to 30, with hundreds of officials and staff members deployed to ensure transparency and efficiency.
