In light of the Shahid Gowari Din observance at Shahid Smarak near Zero Mile on Saturday, November 18, temporary traffic regulations will be enforced to manage vehicular movement effectively. A large gathering of the Gowari community is expected to pay homage to the 114 Gowaris who lost their lives during the 1994 agitation for reservation and other demands during the winter session of the State Legislature.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Archit Chandak, has announced that several key roads will remain closed to vehicles from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Road Closures
- Morris College Square to Samvidhan Square.
- Forest Office Square to Zero Mile.
- Variety Square to Morris College Square.
- Forest Office Square to Samvidhan Square.
- Manas Chowk to Morris College Square.
- Science College T-point to Morris College Square.
- Shahid Gowari Flyover will also remain closed during the same period.
Traffic Diversions
Vehicles will be redirected via the following routes:
- Jaistambh T-point, Railway Station, Shani Mandir, Munje Chowk, Variety Square, Maharajbag Chowk.
- Central Museum, Science College Chowk, Meetha Neem Dargah, Kannamwar Square, Akashwani Square.
- Rahate Colony Square, Congress Nagar, and Lokmat Chowk.
