Indian comedian and actor Vir Das, who won his first International Emmy the previous year, made history by becoming the first Indian to host the esteemed event.
The 52nd International Emmy Awards, hosted by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS), highlighted 56 nominations from 21 countries across 14 categories, including Drama Series, Comedy, Best Actor, Best Actress, Documentary, and Arts Programming.
The 2024 International Emmy Awards ceremony aired live for viewers in the United States from 5 pm to 11 pm EST. This year’s nominations showcased a remarkable diversity of global talent and content. South Korea’s *Daily Dose of Sunshine* was nominated for Best Comedy Series, while India’s entry, *The Night Manager*—directed by Sandeep Modi and starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sobhita Dhulipala—competed in the Drama Series category. Although *The Night Manager* did not win, the award was claimed by *Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God)*.
