A fatal car accident in Kamptee claimed the life of one person and left two others injured on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Roshan Nilambar Naik (26), while the other two individuals, Abhishek Shivnarayan Parmar (28) and Syed Ameer Shahzad Syed Sabir (26), sustained serious injuries.
The accident occurred around 5:00 am near Garud Chowk, Christian Cemetery, in the jurisdiction of the New Kamptee Police Station. The trio were traveling in a Kia car (MH 40 CQ 3804) when the driver, Syed Ameer Shahzad Syed Sabir, lost control and crashed into a steel railing at the intersection. The force of the impact caused the railing to snap, and the car’s front end veered towards the driver’s side, injuring both Syed and Abhishek.
In the chaos of the collision, Roshan was struck by the broken railing, suffering a fatal injury to his neck. Despite immediate medical attention at the Sub-District Hospital in Kamptee, doctors declared him dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries. The other two injured individuals are currently receiving treatment.
Based on a complaint lodged by Roshan’s father, Nilambar Patuchand Naik (49), the New Kamthi Police have filed a case against Syed under sections 106(1), 281, 125(a), 125(b) of the BNS (IPC) and section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The investigation is underway.
