Pensioners can now avail of a hassle-free digital life certificate facility through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). The service allows retired employees to complete the life certificate submission process from the comfort of their homes.
Upon submitting an online request via the India Post Info App or the Jeevan Pramaan website, a designated postman will visit the pensioner’s residence to complete the necessary formalities. The life certificate is then sent digitally to the pension department or the concerned bank.
Retired employees are required to submit their life certificates annually in November and December to confirm their eligibility for pension payments. Failure to do so results in the immediate suspension of pension payments, which are resumed only after the certificate is submitted.
“India Post Payments Bank offers this service at an affordable rate of ₹70. Pensioners across the state are encouraged to utilize this convenient facility,” said Sachin Desai, Sub Postmaster of Ayodhya Nagar Post Office.
The initiative aims to simplify the process for pensioners, ensuring uninterrupted pension payments and reducing the need for physical visits to banks or government offices.
