Although the name of the next chief minister of Maharashtra has not been disclosed, the preparations for the oath-taking ceremony at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan are in full swing. The induction is said to be held at 5 pm on December 5 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President J P Nadda, and other prominent persons.
Likely Chief Mister Devendra Fadnavis has sought information about the availability of grounds on the day, which zoomed upon the Azad Maidan. The BJP legislators will meet on December 1 to select their leader, who will be inducted as the chief minister of Maharashtra on December 5.
According to sources officiating CM Eknath Shinde will hold a discussion with Amit Shah on Saturday. The list of ministers to be inducted on December 5 is also being prepared.
Out of the 230 seats out of 288 won by the Mahayuti, BJP leads with 132, followed by Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) 57 and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) 41. Five independent elected candidates have announced support for the BJP.
