The Regional Transport Office has developed software through which the vehicle number of choice can be booked. The software has been linked to all RTOs in the state.
The facility has eliminated the brokers in RTO and also saved time for frequent visits to the RTO office. RTO charges extra fees for VIP numbers. The charges for specific numbers are different. The brokers are active in luring the vehicle buyers in the process. RTO has made efforts to reduce the menace of these brokers.
