Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are now officially married, though the couple has yet to release photos from their wedding. However, glimpses from the ceremony have emerged, showcasing the duo immersed in the rich traditions of their nuptials.
Naga Chaitanya, popularly known as Chay, donned a traditional pancha (dhoti drape), fully engaged in the wedding rituals. Sobhita Dhulipala radiated grace in a Kanjivaram silk saree adorned with real gold zari, reflecting her cultural heritage.
The couple had made their relationship official in August this year by sharing photos from their engagement ceremony. In a joint post, they quoted A.K. Ramanujan’s translated Kurunthogai:
“What could my mother be to yours? What kin is my father to yours anyway? And how did you and I meet ever? But in love, our hearts are as red earth and pouring rain: mingled beyond parting.”
The wedding was held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a location deeply intertwined with Chaitanya’s family legacy. Founded in 1976 by his grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, the iconic 22-acre property stands as a testament to the family’s cinematic heritage.
The ceremony, reportedly spanning eight hours, was a star-studded event attended by leading figures from the Indian film industry. Guests included Allu Arjun and his family, Ram Charan and Upasana, Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar, Jr NTR, SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Chiranjeevi and Surekha, Nayanthara, and more.
Both the Akkineni and Daggubati families were present, reflecting their longstanding ties. Nagarjuna Akkineni’s earlier marriage to Lakshmi Daggubati, the sister of actor Venkatesh Daggubati, underscores this connection, despite the couple now being separated.
