The temperature in the Vidarbha region plummeted after a week of heat and cloudy weather. The temperature started coming down accompanied by chilly wind. Hill station Chikhaldara recorded a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. The temperature in the region dropped by almost six degrees after Sunday. The day temperature is pleasant.
The winter had taken a pause following the cyclone Fengal. Melghat in Chikhaldara is a popular tourist spot for jungle safari. Undeterred by the chill tourists have continued to visit the place in large numbers.
