Nagpur: The Nagpur City Police achieved an exceptional milestone at the 19th Maharashtra State Police Duty Meet 2024, held from December 7 to December 12 in Pune. Competing against 23 teams from across the state, the Nagpur Police team emerged victorious, winning the Overall Champion Trophy.
Inspector Prashant Thaware led the charge with two gold medals in the “Scientific Aid to Investigation” category for Medico-Legal Oral and Forensic Science Written Competitions, along with a bronze in other investigation-related events. Police Constable Krunal Uke bagged a gold in the “Computer Awareness” online competition and a bronze in the written category.
Police Constable Pratiksha Nagpure secured two golds in “Scientific Aid to Investigation – Observation and Portrait” events, while Police Constable Palash Waghmare won a silver and bronze in the “Computer Awareness” category.
With five golds, three bronzes, and one silver medal, the Nagpur Police team celebrated their historic achievement. On December 13, Commissioner of Police Ravindrakumar Singhal felicitated the medalists at Police Bhavan, joined by senior officers and dignitaries.
