Gargi Hivre, a talented Class 7 swimmer from Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar, was part of a remarkable expedition aimed at setting a new record for swimming non-stop for 26 hours. The event, held from the morning of 26th November to 27th November 2024, was organized jointly by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swimming Pool Swimmers and Parents Forum, Nagpur, in association with the National Life Saving Society and Aqua Sports Club.
The expedition, held in honor of Constitution Day, witnessed the participation of three swimmers — Gargi Hivre, Rohan Waghmare, and Shravani Parate — who demonstrated immense dedication and perseverance throughout the event. The swimming feat was celebrated at a Prize Distribution function, where the athletes were praised for their exceptional endurance.
Centre Point School’s Principal, Mrs. Kanchan Ukey, expressed her admiration for Gargi’s remarkable achievement. She congratulated Gargi and her coaches — Mr. Roshan Choudhary, Mr. Kushal Balbhude, and Mrs. Rashmi Bais — for their dedication and support. “Gargi’s grit and determination have truly shone through, and we are proud of her success. We wish her continued growth and success in all her future endeavors,” said Mrs. Ukey.
This impressive feat serves as an inspiration to all aspiring swimmers, showcasing the power of perseverance and hard work in achieving greatness.
