SBI Foundation to Provide Financial Assistance to Selected Women Entrepreneurs
The transformative initiative ‘Umeed Abhiyan’ is giving wings to the dreams of women from rural Maharashtra by providing them with a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit. In collaboration with the SBI Foundation, the program is set to inspire and empower countless women through a unique TV show ‘Ghe Bharari – Mala Pankh Milale’, premiering on December 13, 2024, at 4:15 PM on TV9 Marathi. The show celebrates the journey of women who have balanced their traditional roles with aspirations to build a better future for themselves and their families.
This groundbreaking program aims to reach over 70 lakh women, providing them with guidance, inspiration, and financial support. Under the Umeed Abhiyan, 39 women have been selected to share their success stories, inspiring others to chase their dreams. Industry experts like entrepreneur Anagha Ghaisas and business mentors Vishal Solaskar and Rahul Papal will guide the participants, while SBI Foundation will provide essential funding and resources to help these women entrepreneurs scale their ventures. Speaking about the initiative, Ruchesh Jayvanshi, Chief Officer of the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission, said, “Every rural woman deserves the opportunity to achieve her dreams. This program is a step towards making over 70 lakh women self-reliant and strengthening the rural economy of Maharashtra.”
Actress Shreya Bugde, the host of the show, expressed her excitement, saying, “Women often face challenges, especially in rural areas, where access to guidance and encouragement is limited. ‘Umeed Abhiyan’ is a ray of hope, offering the right direction and support to help women achieve their dreams.
