The Nagpur Film Festival will be jointly organized by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and the Nagpur Chalchitra Foundation on January 11 and 12, 2025. On December 14, Dr. Prashant Bokare, Acting Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU, unveiled a documentary about the festival at the Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building. This will be the first-of-its-kind film festival in the city.
Ekagra Sharma, writer of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’; Dr. Rajendra Kakde, In-charge Pro Vice-Chancellor, RTMNU; Dr. Shriram Kawle, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Gondwana University; Dr. Raju Hiwase, Registrar, RTMNU; Dr. Samay Bansod, Member of Management Council, RTMNU; Dr. Kishor Ingale; and Dr. Vijay Khandal, Director of University Knowledge Centre, were prominently present at the programme.
The film festival will be organised in the premises of the university campus on the occa- sion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand on January 12. Winners in festivals will be rewarded with cash prizes.
December 30 is the last date for submitting the entries.
Dr Prashant Bokare congrat- ulated the organisers for organ- ising the first-of-its-kind film festival in the city. Ekagra Sharma also appreciated the efforts of the organisers in promoting films in the region.
Dr Prabas Sahu, Dr Sanyukta Thorat, Ajay Rajkarne, and others contributed towards the success of the programme.
