Nagpur: A gang of five unidentified assailants robbed valuables worth ₹11.12 lakh from a house in Kapil Nagar during the early hours of December 18. The masked intruders, armed with knives and an iron rod, broke into the residence of 60-year-old Rajesh Chhedilal Pandey around 2:30 am, threatening his family before looting cash and gold jewelry.
The stolen items included ₹6 lakh in cash, 164 grams of gold worth ₹4.92 lakh, and six mobile phones. The robbers forced Pandey into his Scorpio vehicle and abandoned him near Koradi Devi Temple Road, later fleeing with the vehicle, which was recovered near Manjri railway tunnel.
Kapil Nagar police registered the case and are investigating the crime with the help of forensic experts.
