The skilled duo of Mithilesh Goenka and Shrawan Mohta triumphed over Jatin Kale and Yogesh Padole to win the CP Club’s Advocate MK Naidu Memorial Tournament, which concluded with a thrilling finish.
In the best-of-five final, Goenka and Mohta dominated the first round, scoring 119 points, while Kale and Padole managed 62 points.
In the second round, Goenka-Mohta continued their strong performance, scoring 184 points against the Kale-Padole duo’s 158.
Kale and Padole displayed impressive queuing and potting skills in the following round, but Mohta stole the spotlight by potting nine red balls in a single break. This remarkable effort secured a 67-26 victory in the third round, clinching the title for Goenka-Mohta.
Brigadier Rahul Dutt graced the prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest. Club Secretary Rahul Soni, Girish Dewani, and Advocate Prakash Naidu were also present at the event. Advocate Naidu, a key contributor to the tournament, organized it in memory of his grandfather.
