The much-awaited portfolios to Maharashtra’s ministers were announced late in the evening on Saturday. Most of the senior ministers have been retained with the same portfolios. The most important Home Ministry and Energy (Excluding Renewable Energy) Ministry have been retained by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been given Finance and Planning and State Excise. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde wanted the Home Ministry will handle the Urban Development Ministry, Housing, and Public Works. Pawar and Shinde have worked earlier as Energy and Urban development ministers respectively.
