The Sanam Band kicked off their performance with the classic hit ‘Kya Hua Tera Wada,’ instantly energizing the crowd. The younger audience was thrilled, while those above 50 were taken back to the golden days of Hindi film music.
On the eighth day of the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav, the internationally renowned Sanam Band, featuring Sanam Puri, Samar Puri (guitar), Keshav Dhanraj (drummer), and Venkat Subramaniyam (bass guitar), put on a mesmerizing live concert at on Friday 20, December at the Eshwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education grounds in Hanuman Nagar, Nagpur.
The program was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by distinguished guests, including Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Singal, Vidarbha Region Head of Sanskar Bharati Kanchan Gadkari, Principal of Eshwar Deshmukh College Sharda Naidu, along with Smita Wagh, Jaiprakash Gupta, Ashok Mankar, Ashish Vandele, and Chetan Kairkar.
Songs like ‘Yeh Raaten Yeh Mausam,’ ‘Aap Ki Nazaron Ne Samjha,’ and ‘Lag Ja Gale’ captivated the audience, with many waving their phone torches to the rhythm. The band continued to charm with classics such as ‘Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi,’ ‘Likhay Jo Khat Tujhe,’ ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha,’ ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas,’ ‘Pehla Nasha,’ and ‘Tuh Hai Wahi.’ Sanam Puri also shared an inspiring message, encouraging people to support those struggling with addiction.
